Lesley Marks, Senior Vice President, Investment Management is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Equities for Mackenzie Investments. She oversees approximately 110 investment professionals who are involved in the day-to-day management of Mackenzie funds across the firm’s 12 equity boutiques. As CIO, Lesley is responsible for more than C$65 billion of Mackenzie’s assets under management.

Lesley is a seasoned investment leader with more than 25 years of experience across asset and wealth management, including 22 years at the Bank of Montreal. During her tenure at BMO, Lesley was a CIO in both Asset Management and Wealth Management and prior to that had an extensive successful track record as a portfolio manager of Canadian equity portfolios.

Lesley is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. She is currently Chair of the Crescent School Foundation board, sits on the advisory board of the Institute for Sustainable Finance and is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee for Kids Help Phone.

Steve Locke, Senior Vice President, Investment Management is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Strategies in addition to co-lead of the Fixed Income Team. Steve oversees approximately 40 investment professionals involved in the day-to-day management of all institutional and retail fixed income and multi-asset mandates at Mackenzie Investments. As CIO, Steve is responsible for more than C$60 billion in fixed income expertise and C$23 billion in multi-asset capabilities. Steve is also Chair of Mackenzie’s Global Investment Committee, which oversees global investment strategy recommendations across the organization.

Steve began his investment career in 1994 as a bond trader and credit analyst, with these roles encompassing rates and credit trading, and fundamental corporate credit analysis for public and private debt. In 1998, Steve took a role as an associate portfolio manager, with management responsibilities covering pension, retail, and balance sheet mandates. In 2003, Steve joined Howson Tattersall Investment Counsel (HTIC) as a portfolio manager, managing both retail and institutional fixed income portfolios, and in 2005 Steve became head of the fixed income team at HTIC. Steve came to Mackenzie through the acquisition of HTIC in 2008, and he was appointed Head of the Fixed Income Team in 2010. In 2021, Steve was appointed to his current role as CIO of fixed income and multi-asset strategies.

Steve is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and he has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and an MBA degree from the Schulich School of Business, both from York University.

Andres Rincon heads ETF sales and strategy at TD Securities. His ETF team advises both institutional and wealth investors on the ETF landscape and strategies, publishes a broad array of ETF publications, and works with TD's ETF market making team in facilitating ETF orders. Andres joined TD Securities in 2008, first managing credit risk for the dealer, and later as a member of the Equity Derivatives division. He later took on the task of expanding TD Securities' ETF sales and strategy platform. He is also a Chartered Market Technician (CMT).
