In March 2021, TD Securities and Headlands Tech Holdings, LLC announced a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Headlands Tech Global Markets, LLC, a U.S.-based quantitative fixed income trading company. The purchase of Headlands Tech Global Markets, LLC closed July 2021.

Founded in 2013, Headlands Tech Global Markets, LLC (HTGM) has developed proprietary software to deliver fully automated electronic market-making in municipal and investment grade corporate bonds. This platform will develop and implement quantitative trading strategies across a range of financial products.

HTGM, now known as TDS Automated Trading, is part of TD Securities' integrated Global Fixed Income group. The acquisition of HTGM accelerates our data-driven innovation and technology strategy as we look to deliver more value-added electronic solutions to our clients.
