Bob Dorrance
Bob joined TD Securities in 2000 and held a number of different positions within Corporate and Investment Banking, Institutional Equities’ Sales, Trading and Research, Equity Capital Markets and Proprietary Equity Trading. In 2005, he was appointed Chairman, CEO & President, and served in that capacity until September 2021. Prior to TD Securities, Bob co-founded Newcrest Capital and served as its President and CEO since 1995.
In recognition of his contributions to the industry, Bob was inducted into the Investment Industry Association of Canada’s Hall of Fame in 2018.
Bob’s commitment to strengthening our communities has inspired TD Securities’ employees to both raise more than $25 million for TDS Underwriting Hope since its inception, and be important contributors to the United Way in the regions where we work. Bob also serves on the Board of Directors for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and is a member of the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Modern & Contemporary Curatorial Committee.
Bob obtained a Master of Business Administration from McGill University and an Honours Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
