Carla Bermeo, Director, Regional Head of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Global Transaction Banking, strengthens the global capabilities of TD Securities and provides mentorship to women and colleagues in the workplace.

Carla is a current member of the TD Securities' Canada Women in Leadership (WIL) committee and former co-chair of our TDS WIL Development committee. She led several career development initiatives, including the achieving your potential leadership program, which helps colleagues develop leadership capabilities to help advance and fosters collaboration across business lines within the Firm. Carla is an amazing advocate and continually finds ways to champion women in the workplace through sharing her passion to understand unconscious bias, weaving in intersectionality across diversity pillars or promoting a culture of allyship.

What I Do:
I help strengthen our global capabilities by developing and managing sound business partnerships with Tier 1 financial institutions based in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Proud Moment:
During a panel that I hosted, one of my colleagues who participated as a panelist referred to me as a mentor. To me, the word "mentor" holds a powerful meaning. It was so genuine and spontaneous, and really warmed my heart. Our business is about people and the most rewarding moments in my career relate to colleagues and clients.
